The way affiliate programs work is very simple. We have links on our website, like the two on the right as well as at the top of each page we have rotating banners. (The banners randomly rotate when you reload or refresh your web browser or move to another page on our website.)
When you click any of the links you see on our site
for Amazon.com, and you buy anything for these merchants the Silver Regiment will receive 4% of your purchase. The thing is you MUST use the links on our site as that is how the merchants track and credit what is purchased.

TONY ESCAPA

Congrats to former Lake Howell Band Student Tony Escapa (1995-1998), currently
on tour as the drum set player for Ricky Martin!
Tony Escapa is the son of pianist and arranger Antonio Escapa, who played in
Ricky Martin's first group, Menudo. Surrounded by Puerto Rico's best
musicians, Tony started playing guitar at age ten and switched to drums at age
11. Moving with his family from Puerto Rico to Orlando, Florida, at age 14,
Tony won several awards. After graduation from Lake Howell in 1998, Tony
returned to Puerto Rico to gain experience, performing at the Heineken Jazz
Festival in San Juan in 1999 with percussionists Giovanni Hidalgo and Paoli
Mejias. That summer, Tony won a $12,000 scholarship at the "Berklee in Puerto
Rico" program. Since coming to Berklee School of Music in January 2000, Tony
has been the drummer in faculty percussionist Egui Castrillo's band. Tony
left the Berklee School of Music to tour with Ricky Martin as his drummer.

Check it out, TUG has new digs! Actually, TUG is wearing the new uniform. As many of you know The Silver Regiment is getting new uniforms later this month. Well we couldn't forget giving TUG a new uniform, so there you have it, the new TUG.
Just in case you do not know or forgot, TUG is the Silver Regiment's, mascot. TUG stands for "Thumbs Up Guy," and he has been around for a very long time - since the early 80's I think. TUG should also look familiar, as he is based on Tom Wilson's cartoon, Ziggy - not to be confused with David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust."
Don't worry; the old TUG will still be around. We are in the process of creating an archives and alumni section on this website. The old TUG will be there.
