Silver Regiment Family,
After a long and arduous time of preparation, hard work has once again paid off for the Lake Howell Band Program. This past Friday and Saturday, both concert ensembles put on great performances at the FBA Music Performance Assessment concert. The symphonic band had their best performance to date, and even though we didn't get the ratings that we wanted, I am very proud of the group's musical growth in the last few month and fantastic work ethic that they are developing.
Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble on a great performance and well deserved Straight SUPERIORS! This group has also surpassed all of my expectations by stepping it up in a huge way the last few weeks. Their great sense of dedication to the band program and their refusal to be anything other than great, is noticed not only by myself, but my colleagues and the community. Let's keep pushing all the way to our next big goal (Spring Concert) so we can create yet another unforgettable experience!
Thanks to all of your fundraising efforts, donations, volunteer time at the concessions, bake sales, yard sales, and account payments, I will be able to purchase the scores to the Marching Show for the 2010 Edition of the Silver Regiment. It is going to be really spectacular. I cannot wait to share the ideas that the staff and I have been generating for the last few weeks. Information about revealing the show will soon come.
Again, Thank you for a great week of hard work and stress. We all good through it without getting hurt, and created great successes along the way. I can't wait to see how far this band can really go!
Yours in music,
Mr. Franqui
